Greenway Winter School

The Greenway Winter School is focusing on the present questions of sustainability and the basic messages of the green philosophy, our interdisciplinary and applied approach helps to draw up the present trends and future perspectives of sustainability worldwide in the 21st century. Presentations and case studies from all around the world help to understand the local, regional, and international challenges of sustainability and participants could share experiences and examine the past, present, and future challenges of sustainability and green philosophy in practice.

Among the topics of the winter school education for sustainability has a special focus, but the sustainability challenges of the world of work, the OVHR model, the CSR activities of market actors and good and bad sustainability practices are also playing an important role during the Greenway. The online winter school is gaining special importance in these days as the COVID-19 affects the economic, social, and environmental processes intensively, and sustainability problems, and challenges could come to a new light, which are not necessarily to be dealt with the previous practices and solutions: humankind must cope parallel with the challenges of deglobalization and reglobalization, and with the challenges of building a more sustainable world.

With organizing this winter school, we would like to reflect to the present challenges of sustainability and generate a scientific discussion of the topic between students, Hungarian scholars and foreign experts who want to share their experiences and best practices from all around the world. The Greenway Winter School is supported by the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority. The working language of the winter school is English. The participation is free of charge. Following the winter school, we are planning to publish the selected papers of the participants.
